Grande Montagne de Reims
Located in Rilly-la-Montagne, Champagne Herbert & Co is a family estate now managed by Thomas Herbert, who succeeded his father two years ago. Thomas began his first vinification in 2016, continuing the family’s winemaking tradition.
The estate includes vineyards in Rilly-la-Montagne (5.6 hectares), as well as in Ludes (1.2 hectares), Trois-Puits, and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ (2 hectares), focusing on Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay.
In the cellar, Thomas exclusively uses 228L oak barrels for vinification, preserving traditional methods with minimal intervention. This approach ensures the production of elegant, terroir-driven Champagnes that authentically express both the estate's heritage and the unique qualities of its vineyards.
