The Marguet family has been involved in Champagne since 1850. Benoît Marguet, who took over the family estate in 2005, continues the legacy with a focus on extreme biodynamic and aromatherapeutic farming. His 8-hectare estate includes Grand Cru vineyards in Ambonnay and Bouzy, with a mix of 58% Pinot Noir and 42% Chardonnay.
Marguet’s winemaking involves gravity-fed methods, fermentation in oak barrels, and minimal use of sulfur. He follows the lunar calendar for cellar work and allows natural malolactic fermentation. Notable bottlings include single-vineyard and single-cru wines, and two Rosé Champagnes: SHAMAN (non-vintage) and AMBONNAY (vintage). Marguet also collaborates on the highly regarded Sapience, a biodynamic Champagne produced in very limited quantities.
