Grande Montagne de Reims
Champagne Huré Frères is a family-owned estate in Ludes, located in the Montagne de Reims region. Established in 1960 by Georges Huré, the estate is now managed by his grandsons, François and Pierre. The estate spans 10 hectares across Ludes, Villedommange, Brouillet, Serzy, Prin, and Vavray, with an additional 1.5 hectares of Chardonnay from Rilly-la-Montagne and Villers-Marmery. The vineyards are planted predominantly with Pinot Meunier (40%), Pinot Noir (40%), and Chardonnay (20%).
Since 2006, Champagne Huré Frères has adopted organic and biodynamic practices, eliminating herbicides and pesticides to improve soil health and grape quality. Winemaking is carried out using natural yeasts, with fermentation in a mix of stainless steel tanks, oak foudres, and small barrels. Extended lees aging contributes to the wines' complexity.
