Alexandre Lamblot is part of a new generation of innovative Champagne producers, with a focus on natural, sustainable practices. Farming 3.5 hectares across the villages of Vrigny, Chenay, Janvry, and Gueux, Alexandre combines inherited family vineyards with rented parcels. His approach emphasizes biodiversity, using mini tractors, allowing indigenous plants to grow, and introducing chickens for natural fertilization. He also practices Vitoforestry, planting 100 different tree species per hectare.
Certified organic since 2021, Alexandre goes beyond certification, using minimal tilling, biodynamic preparations, and homeopathic essential oils for protection. He also braids vines in winter for energy exchange and uses careful manual harvests, followed by slow pressing in a traditional wooden press. Each press fraction is vinified separately with indigenous yeasts in a mix of barrels and, soon, local oak staves.
