Champagne J.M. Sélèque is a family-owned estate led by Jean-Marc Sélèque, located in Pierry, near Épernay. The estate farms 10 hectares across several Premier Cru villages, focusing on sustainable practices and respecting the unique terroir. The vineyard is cultivated using both organic and biodynamic methods, with an emphasis on preserving biodiversity and soil health.
Jean-Marc practices minimal intervention in the cellar, using indigenous yeasts for fermentation and avoiding fining, filtration, and cold stabilization. The wines undergo long aging on the lees, enhancing complexity and depth. The estate's range includes a blend of Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, with the style characterized by freshness, elegance, and a fine mousse.
The Sélèque wines are celebrated for their balance and precision, delivering a pure expression of the terroir. With a low dosage philosophy, they combine respect for tradition with a forward-thinking approach to crafting high-quality champagne.
